Time Management-Make a list.

Step One - Make a list

Make a list of what you want to do or what you would like to do during your free time, to make you life fulfilled and happier.

  • Draw more
  • Write more
  • Work on more art projects
  • Hang out with friends more
  • Work out more

Draw some representations of these ideas and put it in your room on the wall.

Take the list you just created and put it somewhere where you will see it everyday (paper clip it to your planner). You can make multiple list and put them in different places.

Heres where I put them:
  • The mirror in my room
  • Top of my dresser
  • In side my dresser drawer where I keep my boxer briefs
  • On my car horn
  • PC note book

Getting it together

So my boss has been reading this book about time management. She let me read it for about a day, I skimmed through it. And it look good, so good that I bought it on half.com. I just couldn't wait till she was done.

After I get done reading that book, then I'm gonna read her second book,

Renaming UHD

So I got some news from an inside source that could literally shake the foundations of UHD's One Main Building. For years now UHD has been having an identity crises for a while. The problem lies with Big Brother. For the past years, UH Main has been suffering a dramatic low enrollment problem. And guess who they blame....UHD. UH Main has been trying to do away with us for a while...as in change out name, logo, colors, motto, etc. They just don't want people going to a UH school unless its UH Main.

Well an insider told me that UHD has gotten the green, to change UHD...but only one circumstance. UH Main still wants our money and some credit, so if we were to constitute a new public higher education facility, the new UHD would still have to be under the UH system...even though the colors, logo, name and everything else will change...like i said they just want the money.

The exciting news is that this could happen in about a year... the staff at UHD were told directly from the presidents office not to by any more stuff with the UHD logos and colors.

Here are some of the names that are being tossed around:

Cullen University....them people practily own the UH system, they are the people that started University of Houston

Allen State University...as in the Allen brothers, the 2 men who drifted down the Buffalo Bayou that sits in front of UHD..and bought some land in downtown and created a little town called Houston. These guys are the "Fathers of the City" No really look it up and every article will say that.

Debakey University...the Medical pioneer he did a lot of things that were the first.

L.B.J University...a U.S. President from Texas.

I like the idea of Cullen Univeristy, sounds nice. The Debakey...practically everything in the medical center is named after this guy...plus he is already the Chancellor at Baylor College of Medicine. If they took the state of the Allen State U then it sounds better, the State just down grades the whole point. LBJ...just because he was a Texan, not good enough reason. I have a feeling that it might be Cullen or Debakey, just because those are the riches families in Houston, and UHD could get a lot of grants from them.

So what do you think, post your reply....should the students have a say in this, should there be a university wide poll on these names??

Apifiny

So if you know me quit well, I'm not a religious spectator. Yeah I go to church every now and then, only because it's tradition. I believe that religion was created only as a scare tactic...if you do that you'll go to Hell. Religion is here only for order. I don't really believe that there was a man who did all these things that they said he did. I think there was a man..Jesus or not, who did good things, but people have extremely exaggerated the stories. But I do believe that there is a Higher Power that moves us on this game board of Life. Today I read a book that further convince me that there is a higher being out there.

Rene Descartes’ "Meditations". Descartes...uh..pronounce Day-cart...yeah I know....those crazy French, when will they ever learned. So back to the story, Descartes was a French philosopher, a number cruncher (mathematician) an a scientist during the Renaissance era.

One day he decided, what if what I know is nothing but bull plop. How do I know that the knowledge's that was taught to me was tainted and biased...how do I know that all of this is real, and not being controlled by someone else...talk about a Matrix freak out.

Becoming over stimulated and because Starbucks will not be invented in another 3000 years,he lock himself up in a cabin, far from society...all to think...is this real, or am I a schizo.

He did 3 types of meditations...but the one that changed my opinion was the last one. The questioning of Gods existence.

And here it is in 5 easy steps:

I. I have an idea of a perfect being...in this case God.

II. In every cause there must be as much reality in effect, or for every action there should be a equal reaction. Meaning that if I flick you in the ear, you ear will slightly bend and return to normal, that is an equal reaction. An unequal reaction is if I flick your ear, and it completely rips off, that is not an equal reaction. So we as humans don't have this type of power because we are not gods, we are...

III. Imperfect. Humans make mistakes, only the perfect being never makes a mistake.

IV. Given that what number 3 says, then I can not not do number 1. Humans are imperfect, so how can we have an idea of a perfect god? We each have our own biased image of God. So if we can't raise an idea of a perfect God then a perfect being must of put that perfect idea in our minds.

V. Given that of number 2 God must exsit, because only a perfect being can have an unequal action...like putting and idea in ones mind, and imperfect person can not physically do this. Opening ones skull and implanting and idea in the actual brain would likely kill at this time period. Only God can do this without opening the skull and harming the person.

So, this argument has gotten to make me a believer. There is a higher power out there.

Philosophy...IT'S THE SHITZ!!!
